We love to share the excitement of live theatre with you.

Backstage
NWS pays small (very small) stipends for a few positions:
Director, Music Director, Choreographer, and Costumer.

House Staff, Usher, Customer Service
Customer service-friendly personality, ability to commit to schedule. See the show for free! One performance during the run, or several.

Costuming
Sew original costumes or make adjustments to existing ones; fabrication and design skills. Depending on project assigned; probably several weeks prior to show opening.

Stage Manager
Attention to detail, organizational skills, authority with diplomacy! Be the director’s right hand, and guide the show in performances. All rehearsals, all performances during run of the show.

Running Crew
Create the magic behind the curtains as part of the essential backstage crew. Ability to lift and move heavy objects quickly and quietly, follow directions and stay focused. A few rehearsals prior to opening, plus all performances (3 per weekend) during run.

Set Construction
Hammers, drills and paintbrushes supplied! Work with the set designer to create safe, sturdy and memorable stage sets. Depending on project assigned; probably several weeks or months prior to show opening.

Onstage
Actors/Singers
Auditions for all our shows are publicly announced and open to all. They are held approximately three months prior to each show’s opening date. If you wish to be on our audition mailing list please email us. For more detailed information about the most current auditions, please check our Auditions page.

Instrumentalists
We pay a small stipend to rehearsal accompanists and show musicians. Most of our shows are scored for either full or reduced orchestrations. Occasionally we use smaller combos. If you are interested in auditioning for a place in our orchestra, please email us Here. Please include all the instruments you can play well.
